Privacy Policy

This privacy notice describes how Luxe Properties Doha LLC ("we", "the firm", "Luxe Properties") collects, uses and discloses personal data of natural persons interacting with the firm in connection with our brokerage services. The notice is issued under Qatari Law 13 of 2016 concerning the Protection of Personal Data Privacy ("PDPL"), and reflects further guidance from the Compliance and Data Protection Department at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

1. Data controller

The data controller for the personal data described in this notice is Luxe Properties Doha LLC, a Qatari limited liability company registered under CR No. 119867, holding Aqarat licence QA-RE-2019-00641. Our registered office is Tower 2, 18th Floor, Marina Twin Towers, Lusail Marina District, Lusail City, Qatar. The firm has appointed Sara Al-Jaber as its data protection contact; queries on the use of personal data may be addressed to compliance@luxeproperties.qa.

2. Categories of personal data

We collect the following categories of personal data: identification data (name, nationality, residence permit / Qatar ID number where required for transaction execution); contact data (telephone, email, postal address); transaction data (property briefs, viewing history, offers made, contractual documents, banker references provided by the client); financial data (proof of funds documentation provided in connection with anti-money-laundering checks); and electronic data (IP address, browser identifiers and cookie identifiers when interacting with this website).

3. Lawful basis

We process personal data on the following lawful bases under PDPL Article 4: the explicit consent of the data subject (granted at the point of enquiry submission and at the point of engagement letter); the necessity of processing for the performance of the brokerage agreement; and the necessity of processing to comply with legal obligations to which the firm is subject, including the Qatar Financial Centre Authority's Anti-Money-Laundering and Combating Financial Crime Rules and Aqarat licensee record-keeping requirements.

4. Use of data

We use personal data to identify suitable properties for prospective buyers and lessees, to identify suitable counterparties for sellers and lessors, to execute transactions, to keep our clients on the firm's communication list (with their consent), to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and to defend the firm in the event of dispute.

5. Disclosure

We disclose personal data to: (a) counterparties to a transaction, with the explicit consent of the data subject and only to the extent necessary to execute the transaction; (b) regulators, including Aqarat, the Ministry of Justice (Real Estate Registration Department), and the QFC Regulatory Authority where applicable; (c) banks and notarial offices facilitating transaction settlement; and (d) the firm's professional advisors (lawyers, auditors). We do not sell personal data and we do not transfer personal data to a country lacking adequate protection without explicit consent.

6. Retention

We retain personal data for the duration of the client relationship and for ten years following its termination, in line with the Aqarat record-keeping rules and the QFC Anti-Money-Laundering record-retention requirement. Marketing communications data is retained until the data subject withdraws consent.

7. Rights of the data subject

Under PDPL Article 13, data subjects have the right to (a) be informed of the existence and purpose of processing, (b) access personal data the firm holds about them, (c) request rectification of inaccurate data, (d) withdraw consent at any time, and (e) lodge a complaint with the MCIT Compliance and Data Protection Department. To exercise any of these rights, please contact compliance@luxeproperties.qa with a copy of identification.

8. Cookies

This website uses essential cookies for session management and analytics cookies for understanding aggregate website usage. We do not use marketing or behavioural advertising cookies. You may refuse non-essential cookies via your browser settings without affecting the functionality of the website.

9. Updates to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in law or in our practice. Material changes will be notified to clients on the firm's communication list at least thirty days before they take effect.
